Formed by three brothers, Cushing, Clarke and Raleigh Daniel, Standard Properties got its start in 1937 building residential communities. After developing a retail center to serve one of their communities, the Daniel brothers switched their focus in the 1950’s to flex and light-industrial projects designed, or acquired, to be long-term rental assets. Under the leadership of the second generation, Standard Properties has both strategically managed and expanded its portfolio through the continued development of light-industrial parks and, starting in 2002, Class A office buildings. Standard Properties’ experience has given the company proven processes and a knowledge base to ensure the consistent quality of our projects and their ongoing management.

The Leasing of our DC area properties is handled in-house which allows unique tenant requirements to be assessed quickly and efficiently. Standard Properties always welcomes outside brokers at market commissions. Our leasing team’s expertise allows for the rapid evaluation of a user’s requirements matching them to our most suitable availability. Should the custom fit-out of a space be required, our design-build team will work with you to provide a space that meets your needs in the most efficient way possible.
